Physician services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health services, durable medical equipment, and other medical and health services not covered by Medicare Part A are all covered by Medicare Part B.
The Social Security Act determines the Medicare Part B premium, deductible, and coinsurance amounts each year. For 2022, the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B subscribers will be $170.10, up from $148.50 in 2021. In 2022, the yearly deductible for all Medicare Part B participants will be $233, up to $30 from the previous year’s cost of $203.
